My name is Melissa and I am the proud Owner and Operator of Forever Paws Pet Cremations Gold Coast.  ​

I have called the Gold Coast home since 1985.  Before founding Forever Paws, I spent many years working as a Funeral Director.  Whilst I found this role incredibly rewarding, I always felt that there was something more I was meant to do — something that allowed me to combine my experience in supporting grieving families, with my deep love and compassion for animals.

In 2020, I experienced the heartbreaking loss of my own beloved pet, Milo, who had been by my side for 19 years.  That loss opened my eyes to a real gap in the services available for families grieving the loss of a cherished pet.  I realised there was a need for a service that offered the same level of care, dignity and personal attention that we provide for human loss — but tailored specifically for our beloved animal companions.

In December 2021, Forever Paws Pet Cremations Gold Coast was born and our very first family entrusted us to care for their beautiful fur baby, Ruby — and from that moment on, my mission has been clear: to gently guide and support families through one of the most difficult times in their lives, and to honour the special bond they share with their pets.

At Forever Paws, every pet is treated with the same respect, dignity, and tenderness that I would want for my own.  It is my privilege to walk beside you on this final journey, ensuring your beloved companion is cared for with the utmost love and compassion.
