My name is Melissa and I'm the proud owner and operator of Forever Paws Pet Cremations.
I've called the Gold Coast home since 1985 and for many years I worked as a Funeral Director, supporting families through some of life's most difficult goodbyes.
Although I found that work deeply rewarding, I always felt a calling to combine my professional experience with my lifelong love of animals.
When I lost my own beautiful fur baby Milo in 2020, I experienced firsthand the overwhelming heartbreak that comes with losing a much-loved pet. It was through that loss that I realised families deserved the same level of compassion, dignity and personal attention when farewelling their animal companions as they would any other cherished family member.
And so, in December 2021, Forever Paws was born.
From the very first family who entrusted me with their beautiful Ruby, my purpose has remained unchanged — to provide a gentle, thoughtful and deeply personal service that honours the extraordinary bond we share with our beloved pets.

There is no pressure and no rush — just a quiet space to explore options and select
